Elle Russ is a writer, actor and the host of the Primal Blueprint Podcast where she interviews various health experts and best-selling authors. Life wasn’t always easy for Elle, though.

She was a victim doctors not being able to diagnose her hypothyroidism for two years and she also experienced the same condition twice in a span of ten years. It wasn’t until she met Mark Sisson and adopted a paleo lifestyle that she decided to author The Paleo Thyroid Solution, a book dedicated to people who suffer from thyroid issues and have found expensive doctor appointments to be a waste of time and money.

In part 1 of our interview, Elle tells us her experience as a hypothyroid patient, her difficulties in finding expert advice and why she thinks the medical practitioner model is broken.
